In consideration of being allowed to participate in Battle in the Glades (the Coach Griff 7v7 + Lineman Tournament, the "Event"), the participant and, if the participant is under 18, the parent or legal guardian, acknowledge and agree to the following:
Football and football-related activities involve inherent risks of physical injury, including sprains, fractures, concussion, heat illness, and in rare cases serious or catastrophic injury. The participant voluntarily assumes all such risks, known and unknown, of taking part in the Event.
The participant and parent/guardian release, waive, and hold harmless Coach Griff, Gridiron Family Inc, the event organizers, coaches, officials, volunteers, the host venue, Coral Glades High School, and the school district, and their staff and agents (the "Released Parties"), from any and all claims arising out of participation in the Event, except for injury caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct.
The participant is in good physical condition to compete. In the event of injury, I authorize the Released Parties to arrange emergency medical care, and I am responsible for any resulting costs. I confirm the participant is covered by medical insurance or accept responsibility for medical expenses.
The participant agrees to follow all Event rules and the directions of officials. I grant permission for photos and video taken at the Event to be used by the organizers for promotional purposes without compensation.
By signing below (digitally or on paper), I confirm I have read and understood this waiver, that I sign it freely, and that — if signing for a minor — I am that participant's parent or legal guardian with authority to do so.
